Winner Winner

Not only did the Eagle team take 1st for the season, but they did some serious damage last night in the tournament and won the whole she-bang. They were a fierce team and proved it so. Congrats to all of them for playing a great season and being the first in dodgeball history to not only win the season but the tournament! Winning is always sweet, but victory is sweeter. xoxo

Great job Eagle! You should be proud of your outstanding season. But don't count on it next year... ;)

And @Anon 11:06, he probably laser-beamed you and you couldn't see straight. So don't be a cowardly crybaby.

I just want to put it out there that Eagle was really classy all season despite the fact that everyone hated them for winning so much. Congrats Eagle!

You guys fought the good fight and won. Nice job guys.

The only thing that eclipses this team's talent is their sexiness. I agree with Reamy: not a bad one in this bunch. You guys are a great team! Congrats!

PS: Eduardo, can I still have your baby?

I agree,
It started to get a bit ridiculous how everyone was getting on the bash Eagle wagon.
Although I wish we had beat them in the finals, I'm happy to have been beaten by the best.

Congrats EAGLE. Ya'll played a great game and did very well through the season. Every team seems to fib here and there. Ya'll were under extra scrutiny through it all, and I don't recall any vicious upsets with the refs. I am glad you won, as ya'll were a very good team and played well together. It's not just Eduardo that puts you through to that kind of victory. There may have been better teams, but you played better.

Eagle, did you ever know that you're my hero? You're everything I wish I could be. I could fly higher than an eagle,'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

Fly, fly, fly high against the sky,
so high I almost touch the sky.
Thank you, thank you, thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings.

Bette Midler and I congratulate you boys and girls.

people are always going to try to find flaws in the best team. to those who love to call "cheater", stop being sore losers, because Eagle more than deserved to win. keep in mind that what you think you saw from the sidelines may not be the truth. let's start looking forward to the party next week and the next season, because even though i've seen my share of bad calls and cheating, the point of this league is to compete and have fun with friends, not to be stank and start drama off the court.

congrats Eagle!

Great job Eagle, rock on with your B.A.D. selves. Really loved my first year and am already looking forward to the Spring season.

No. Eduardo cheats. And it bears repeating also.

I didn't write the original comment on it but it is definitely true. And is relevant to a post about Eagle winning. Eduardo blatantly cheated in the tournament by refusing to go out.

Also, let it be known that I never got "laser-beamed." (What?)

Eduardo Osorio said...

Yay, more bashing.

I did not cheat, I didn't refuse to go out, and I think I am right. You and some others think I cheated, and you guys think you are right. What are we going to do? I don't have a way of convincing you that you are wrong. Do you have one to show me that I was hit by a ball? If yes, please show me.

Now, if you still want to call me a cheater, I also hope you decide not to interact with me (anymore). Otherwise, if you are also open to the possibility of being wrong and want to be my friend, let's hug on Monday (I love hugging!), have a drink (I love drinking!), talk (I like doing this sometimes), and leave it in the past.

If I had an animated gif that sparkled "Eagles," I'd put it here.

Congrats!

I think it's fair to say that Eduardo honestly didn't think he got hit when the rest of us saw him get hit, and that he didn't realize that he had stepped out of bounds when we all saw him step out of bounds. Yes, he should've been out twice. We all know it. But that doesn't mean he KNEW he was out (and note the refs didn't call him out because they cannot see everything), so let's stop bashing his integrity by calling him a cheater and just realize that Eagle got a few lucky calls that game, just like all of us have gotten from time to time.

Deal?

Luck has little to do with a 20-2 record, a season win and a tournament win to boot. All things that have never been done together since the league started.

Every team in the league has gotten their fair share of good and missed calls by the refs. It's part of the game, like it is in every sport.

Unfortunately, it appears that "grace" is a word that eludes a few in the league. To them I say "grow up"

Whether Eduardo was out or not doesn't really matter, I may have called it as a cheating moment, but Eduardo's class in his post here and everyday life makes me heart him and say hey maybe we were all wrong.
