And The Winner Is....

Gym Bar! Congrats to coming in first place in the league, with Bamboo 52 and Pieces a close second and third respectively, it was a true fight to the finish. Although none of it matters when it comes to the tournament on Monday. Whichever team is left standing, is the team that can call themselves the winners of BAD!'s 4th crazy season.

We must say, we are a *little* confused because according to the standings the scores were adjusted. Can we ask why the scores were adjusted and what is the disclaimer: "a couple of teams were forced to (incorrectly) forfeit matches. However, there is no rule stating there needs to be a minimum number of players." If someone knows what happened, can you please let us know? We don't know what that smell is, but we think it's bullshit. xoxo

did it really matter?

I'll give props to Gym, but it really comes down to the tourney!

I think it matters. It's the result after eleven weeks, not what will come after two days where a team could just be very lucky.

are we really surprised? they had an all-vet starting lineup

i believe it had to do with pets at play only having 2 players during the week 10 matches. apparently somebody incorrectly stated they had to have a minimum of 4 players to play so they were forced to forfeit their matches against the eagles and stonewall. check out the results on the bad web site, you'll see those matches listed as "n/a and n/a."

Anon 10:54 is correct. Pets at Play was forced to falsely forfeit their matches on 4/27. This also happened G Lounge on 4/20. Since there is no rule that states you need a minimum number of players on the court, this was an incorrect call made by the refs. So in fairness to all teams involved, we adjusted win/losses accordingly. This oversight was a failure on the League's part, so apologies for the confusion, Mr/Mrs. GossipGay. And that stench you smell might the sh*t everyone's talking about the tournament on Monday!

Hasn't it always been 4 players to play? When did the rule change? They should rematch because they would lose any ways.

Pets at Play actually had 3 players and the other team had only 5, so it wasn't necessarily an automatic loss. But that's just splitting hairs. We're gonna bring it at the tournament. Bottom line: I think the league did what they could in a crappy situation, and now we/they know for the future.
